Are you questioning whether I am the right fit for you?

Are you feeling stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed by the weight of your past? Do you struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, or unresolved trauma that affects your relationships and overall well-being? Maybe you’re trying to rebuild trust in a relationship, navigate life’s transitions, or understand patterns that keep holding you back. You might feel exhausted from carrying it all alone, unsure of where to turn for support.

You don’t have to face this journey by yourself!

Therapy with me is a collaborative process where we explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion. My goal is to help you find clarity, reconnect with your inner strength, and build a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are. Whether you’re healing from past wounds, working through relationship challenges, or seeking personal growth, I am here to guide and support you every step of the way.

What can you expect during our first session together?

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know each other and determine if we are the right fit. I take a compassionate and collaborative approach, ensuring that you feel comfortable and supported from the start. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your personal goals, and the challenges you are facing. Together, we will explore the best therapeutic approach for you — whether structured, evidence-based methods or a more flexible, integrative style that aligns with your unique needs.

For couples therapy, I help partners navigate their relationship dynamics, improve communication, and strengthen emotional connection. In trauma-focused therapy, we will work through past experiences that may be impacting your present, fostering resilience and healing. No matter the approach, my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, validated, and empowered to move forward.

What are my greatest strengths as a provider?

Every therapist brings unique strengths to their work, shaped by their background, training, and personal experiences. My greatest strengths as a clinician lie in my ability to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can show up authentically. My advanced training in trauma, relationships, and personal growth allows me to guide patients through some of life’s most difficult moments with empathy and care.

As a bilingual therapist, I deeply understand cultural identity and the impact of migration, adaptation, and generational patterns. I integrate this awareness into my practice, ensuring therapy is culturally sensitive and tailored to your unique experiences. My passion for women’s mental health, trauma recovery, and emotional empowerment drives me to help my patients find strength in their stories and move forward with confidence.

Do you wonder what was my path to becoming a therapist?

From a young age, I was drawn to understanding people’s emotions, struggles, and stories. Growing up in Cuba and later adapting to life in the United States, I experienced firsthand the challenges of change, resilience, and personal growth. These experiences ignited my passion for mental health and my commitment to helping others navigate life’s complexities.

At just 12 years old, I knew I wanted to pursue psychology. This calling led me to obtain my degrees in psychology and clinical mental health counseling. During my training, I was particularly drawn to trauma work, relationships, and the powerful impact of therapy in fostering healing and transformation.

Joining Avatar Cognitive and Behavioral Center was a natural next step in my journey. Here, I have the privilege of working alongside strong, compassionate women while staying true to my mission of helping others reclaim their power and heal from within.

I’m a clinical psychologist offering online mental health services to women in Florida. I specialize in Clinical Health Psychology, Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy, Neuropsychological and Psychological Evaluations, and Therapy for Women. As a person-centered integrative clinician, I aim to provide a culturally sensitive and holistic experience where women can achieve self-actualization. As a health psychologist, I promote whole-person wellness for women’s successful living.

Are you questioning whether I am the right fit for you?

Are you feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, disconnected, and inadequate? Do you feel like you’re constantly battling to improve your health, but your body lets you down? Maybe you’re finding it hard to fit in a world that’s not well-suited for people with certain neurological differences. It’s possible you’re experiencing issues with distractibility, memory, sensory sensitivity, cognitive and emotional overload, anxiety, inadequacy, and self-doubt. Perhaps you’ve noticed these changes in yourself and are looking for answers.

You don’t have to face your difficulties alone! Look no further!

I find a tremendous amount of fulfillment when I see women, especially neurodivergent women, and those with chronic illnesses, blooming in therapy. Through online therapy, I support women in leading a fulfilling life by forming genuine connections with themselves and others, gaining new perspectives on life, finding balance, improving emotional intelligence, juggling the act of modern life, processing unresolved trauma, developing a growth mindset, building willpower, and living authentically. I assist neurodivergent women in discovering and appreciating their unique talents, validating their lived experiences, and navigating neurotypical spaces. Women with chronic health conditions benefit from my support in achieving brain and body integration and regaining agency in life.

I’m passionate about neuropsychological and psychological evaluations because they are powerful tools that help women better understand their cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and personality patterns. These evaluations can also help identify personal strengths and weaknesses and ensure data-driven care, which is crucial in clarifying diagnoses, recommending next steps, and developing personalized treatments.

What can you expect during our first session together?

We’ll meet to see if we’re a good match. I’m interested in your story - where you’ve been, what you’ve learned, and who’s influenced you. We’ll explore your story with curiosity and empathy. You must feel comfortable and safe, just like you would with a trusted friend. We’ll plan to achieve your therapy goals together. We’ll discuss whether an evidence-based therapy (a structured approach) or an integrative modality (less structured) would best suit you. I’m committed to your wellness, but our mutual dedication is vital to success. My overall approach to therapy is holistic and emphasizes personal growth and self-awareness. Treatment duration depends on various factors, including your needs and response. We’ll end treatment when therapy goals are met, but booster sessions can be scheduled for maintenance. You can return for new goals. As a clinician, I value flexibility and respect your autonomy.

For neuropsychological and psychological evaluations, I’ll meet with you to understand your concerns and answer any questions you may have about the process so you can feel at ease. We’ll follow up as necessary to gather comprehensive information about you. I believe that you are a whole and not just your symptoms. I’ll dive further into your story, experiences, and behavior patterns. I’ll use neuropsychological and psychological tools considering multicultural variables to provide an accurate assessment. At the last meeting, you’ll receive feedback and recommendations for the insight and clarity you need and a brighter future.

What are my greatest strengths as a provider?

Every clinician has a unique approach to providing care, which reflects their personality, education, and professional experiences. Overall, therapists’ strengths are building trustworthy relationships with their patients, inspiring them, and supporting their personal growth. As a clinician, my biggest asset is my unwavering positive regard and respect for my patients’ stories and autonomy. My training in testing and assessment, bilingualism, curiosity, and continuous effort to enhance my cultural competency gives me the edge in providing quality care.

Do you wonder what was my path to becoming a psychologist?

Once upon a time, I dreamed of becoming a lawyer. I then decided to study Criminal Justice. Forensic psychology courses and personality profiling captivated me, paving the path to my doctoral degree in psychology. As I grew older, I became more fascinated by brain development across the human lifespan. I then specialized in neuropsychology during my clinical psychology degree program at Albizu University in Miami, FL. During my internship at AllCare Medical Centers/Centerstone Consortium in Lakewood Ranch, FL, my interest in the connection of mind, body, and spirit grew stronger. This experience led me to pursue postdoctoral education in health psychology, which I completed at Lee Health/Florida State University in Fort Myers, FL. Through my education and training, I gained knowledge on how biological, social, and psychological factors influence health and illness, ultimately leading me to become a clinical health psychologist.
